OZZY OSBOURNE – “Dreamer”
Black Sabbath is one of the most iconic and influential heavy metal bands of all time. Over the course of their career, they released a number of classic albums, including “Paranoid” and “Master of Reality.” However, one of their lesser-known songs that still manages to captivate listeners today is “Dreamer.”
Released in 2005 on their album “13,” “Dreamer” features Ozzy Osbourne’s signature vocals and Tony Iommi’s trademark riffing. The song has a slower tempo than many of the band’s other hits, but this only serves to highlight the haunting melody and introspective lyrics.
At its core, “Dreamer” is a song about hope, urging listeners to hold onto their dreams and never give up. It’s a message that’s especially resonant given the tumultuous times we live in, where it can be easy to lose sight of our goals and aspirations. The song’s refrain of “Gotta keep my faith alive” is an uplifting reminder that even in the darkest of moments, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
Despite being over 15 years old, “Dreamer” remains a beloved track among Black Sabbath fans young and old. Its timeless message and powerful instrumentation make it a standout in the band’s catalogue, and a testament to their enduring legacy as one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
